
Four Wheel Drive seized the lead early and held off Chimney Rock by three-quarters of a length to win the $1 million Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint (G2T) Nov. 1 at Santa Anita Park.
Trained by Wesley Ward and ridden to victory by Irad Ortiz Jr., Four Wheel Drive completed the five-furlong race for 2-year-olds in :55.66 on firm turf. He was followed home by Chimney Rock in second and Another Miracle in third.
