
Kentucky-bred horses won eight of the nine races carded at Colonial Downs yesterday. The sweep was broken up by Alex White’s Maryland-bred Caneel Bay who won the fourth race.
The card averaged 8.2 starters per race, the on-track handle was $46,394 and the total handle was $1,088,625 after Thursday’s card was washed out.

I wouldn’t worry too much about that. I think it’s just a statistical anomaly created by the plethora of KY-breds compared to other state bred TBs.
