Undefeated Treve and Japanese champion Orfevre were among 19 horses entered at the supplemental stage for Sunday’s Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe (Fr-I).
Treve, along with St. Leger (Eng-I) hero Leading Light and Group 1 winner Meandre were supplemented at a cost of €100,000 ($136,000 U.S.).
Those removed from consideration for the Arc included two from Aidan O’Brien – Camelot and Kingsbarns. In addition to Leading Light, O’Brien will also saddle Investec Derby (Eng-I) winner, Ruler of the World.
Other contenders in the Arc include John Gosden’s top filly The Fugue; Prix du Jockey-Club (Fr-I) winner, Intello; Grand Prix de Paris (Fr-I) winner Flintshire; Coral-Eclipse (Eng-I) victor Al Kazeem; King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes (Eng-I) winner Novellist, and Japanese Derby (Jpn-I) winner, Kizuna.
Final entries and jockey assignments will be taken Friday. The Arc is one of seven Group 1 races to be run at Longchamp on Sunday.
