VA-BRED MISS KEKOA INJURED IN STAKES AT DELAWARE PARK

Miss Kekoa, by Exchange Rate, out of Honour Old Glory by Honour and Glory, who broke her maiden in her debut at Delaware Park makes here second start today in the $75,000 Small Wonder Stakes.  Bred by Hart Farm, the Michael Pino trained filly won a Maiden Special Weight ($38,000) after sprinting to the lead and finishing off by two lengths.

Miss Kekoa was the Reserve Grand Champion at the 2012 $15,000 Virginia Breeders Futurity before selling at Keeneland September for $60,000.

Virginia-bred winner Miss Kekoa, by Exchange Rate, out of Honour Old Glory by Honour and Glory, who was injured yesterday and vanned off during $75,000 Small Wonder Stakes at Delaware Park.  Miss Kekoa had broken her maiden in her debut at Delaware Park in late July.

Miss Kekoa was the Reserve Grand Champion at the 2012 $15,000 Virginia Breeders Futurity before selling at Keeneland September for $60,000.

She broke from the five spot and was pulled up on the turn in distress and then vanned off the racetrack.
