GO-BLUE-OR-GO-HOME-The-Karl-Boyes-Memorial-Stakes-7th-Running-06-10-13-PID-FinVirginia-bred Go Blue Or Go Home stalked the pace along the rail, then shifted into the middle of the track to pull away for a two-length victory June 10th in the $100,000 Karl Boyes Memorial Northwestern Pa. Stakes at Presque Isle Downs and Casino.

Ridden by Paco Lopez and trained by Reade Baker, Go Blue Or Go Home out-ran second-place finisher Super Chunky in the 5 1/2-furlong sprint for 3-year-olds and up. The bay gelding paid $13.20, $6.40 and $4.20 and covered the distance in 1 minute, 3.42 seconds on the wet but firm Tapeta surface.

Super Chunky, under Russell Sheldon, paid $9 to place and $5 to show. Kyma finished third.

Go Blue Or Go Home is by Bluegrass Cat, out of Go Baby Go (IRE) by Lion Cavern.  He was bred in Virginia by Morgan’s Ford Farm and sold by his breeders at the 2009 Keeneland November sale for $90,000.

The stakes win upped his career earnings to $159,624 from six lifetime starts at three and four.  The bay gelding  hadn’t raced since winning an allowance race at Churchill Down back in November.  He broke his maiden at first asking last May at Woodbine.
